This Christmas GEPAN is donating hampers and treating children from modest homes with toys, cakes, sweets and other goodies!  This is our way of adding a bit of joy to families that are less privileged.

Our first Christmas event will be hosted in the town of Linden (Region 10) where we will be catering for a large group of at least 70 children. The children mostly under the age of 10, originate from both Linden and neighbouring Amerindian communities.

This has been made possible with donations from A&R Cosmetics, owned by local business-woman Anjelique Temaul, as well as other private individuals.

Anjelique’s interest in GEPAN’s work and her desire to give back to the people of her region, encouraged her to team up with GEPAN to cheer up this year’s Christmas in Linden! She has also accepted to set up a donation box in her store to collect contributions in kind and cash from the public.

We were also able to count on the participation of a local church to mobilise beneficiaries and we’ve invited Santa Claus hoping he’d show up to entertain the children.

This event is one of several the organisation created with a focus on children. SEC was the first year-round campaign to be launched in an effort to support education.

To date GEPAN welcomes and encourages the partipation of well-wishers in making our Christmas events and others a success. Our projects will continue to depend on your support!
